Diego Fernando Preciado Rojas, M.Sc.

Diego Preciado was born in Sogamoso, Colombia. He received his B.Sc. in Electronics from National University, Colombia in 2008 and his M.Sc. in Electronics and Computer Science from Los Andes University, Colombia in 2011.

After working for more than 10 years in different telecommunication companies, he was awarded a DAAD scholarship to pursue the Ph.D. degree in Germany.

From 2017 to 2019, he was a Research Associate at TU Ilmenau. Since 2020 he is working as a Research Associate at Fraunhofer Heinrich-Hertz Institute (HHI) in Berlin, with the Signal and Information Processing group of the Wireless Communications and Networks department.

He is currently working towards the Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Prof. Sławomir Stańczak. His current research interest is in autonomic 5G network management, in particular network self-optimization driven by machine learning.
